ABOUT VEILKIN
Why I built Veilkin
Some of my best nights playing have been with someone else in the room. Not helping, not coaching, just there. Reacting to the same thing on screen, arguing about which way to go, laughing when it all falls apart. The game is better when someone else is in it with you.
That’s harder to come by than it used to be. Friends have jobs and kids and their own backlogs. The people you’d want alongside you are online at the wrong times, or playing something else entirely, or just not up for a three-hour run tonight. So you play alone, and it’s fine, but something is still missing.
Veilkin started as a fix for my own evenings. I wanted something that could see what I was seeing and actually have an opinion about it. Something that would notice the thing I noticed. Not a wiki, not a walkthrough, not a chatbot in another window. Company, on the same screen, in the same world.
It turned out I wasn’t building it just for me. Plenty of people play the way I do: happily, often, and more happily still with someone there. So we made it for them too.
Veilkin is always up for it. New game, old favourite, the one you swore you’d finished. It’ll jump in whenever you do.
